Northwest Raleigh High School is a co-educational, public high school located in Raleigh, North Carolina. The school has an estimated enrollment of 2,192 students as of the Fall 2022 semester. The school has a strong focus on atmospheric sciences and meteorlogy, and is one of the only schools in Wake County to offer such courses.
History[]
In the late 2010s, plans were laid out for a new high school in northwestern Raleigh. A site was approved and eventually a school was built by early 2022. The school opened on August 29, 2022, to a class of freshmen and sophomores. The first graduating class was in June 2025.
The school is currently led by Principal Dr. Bob Nekaro.
